About the role

As Senior Microsoft Platform Engineer, you will join the IT Operations team and build the next generation Corporate Information Technology Support organization. You will influence business growth and work with a great team within a global organization. As corporate platform developers, we push forward with best-of-breed Azure and AWS Business Tools innovation. You will work closely with the Head of MS Platform Engineering to significantly boost the organization’s competitiveness and reputation. Your responsibilities include strengthening IT Operations and its service-oriented organization, prioritizing security, efficiency, business continuity, and customer-centric solutions.

Main resposibilities:

• Operate and maintain multiple Azure environments (Dev/Test/Production)
• Integrate 3rd party tools and portals with existing environments
• Collaborate to support, monitor, and improve corporate software infrastructure
• Collect and process requests from internal customers (2-3 Level)
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
• Mitigate vulnerabilities
• Active participation in projects such as improvement of security processes, establishment of workflow procedures, automation of daily tasks, etc.
• Be part of the team in Departmental Permission Management Tool development to streamline the processing of on- and off-boarding of employees and external partners
• Process owner of onboarding and offboarding users
• Monitoring of business applications
• Guide business through O365 and Azure solutions
• Organize implementation of automation for all business-related processes
• Be part of and influence architectural decision making
• Take the rotating role of duty manager within the major incident management team (global scale) to handle incidents

Our ideal candidate

• 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator and/or Cloud Engineer
• Extensive experience with Windows, Azure and other cloud environments
• Advanced knowledge in PowerShell, batch scripting, Python or similar
• Expertise in Infrastructure as a code (Terraform) scripting
• The ability to understand and support complex environments across different technologies and solutions
• Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Able to work under your own initiative independently to achieve team goals
• Drive creative changes & continuous improvements
• Having a “hands on” and problem-solving attitude
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to achieve team success
• Strong commitment to continuous improvement and value delivery for customers
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

• Fluent in German.
• General IT network experience is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in the areas of ITIL, Microsoft etc.
• Interest and knowledge in cryptocurrencies, blockchain, or similar.
