💼 The Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Android Engineer to lead our Android development from scratch.
The annual salary range for this role is $140,000 - $200,000. The final salary will be based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
Additional benefits include: equity, performance-based bonus, 401(k); and medical, dental & vision.
Responsibilities
- Build delightful & intuitive interfaces across Android & Wear OS
- Optimize & maintain computationally intense features on resource-constrained mobile devices
- Rapidly iterate, test & merge code to meet tight deadlines
- Collaborate across engineering, product & design to create a world class product
- Recruit, mentor & manage our growing Android team over time
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in core Android frameworks
- Expertise in memory management, threading, and concurrent programming
- Skilled in Android Studio's debugging and performance analysis tools
- Experience with tools like Crashlytics and Amplitude (A/B testing)
- Experience building Camera features across various hardware manufacturers
- Willingness to learn and improve CI pipelines using BitBucket for testing & release management
- Proven experience in building native apps for Android with a solid understanding of the platform's design principles
- BS/BA in Engineering or a related field
Preferred
- 5+ years in Android experience and experience with Kotlin
- Experience integrating ML models with ML Kit, TFLite or NNAPI
- Experience with AWS
- MS in Computer Science
