Senior AI & Data Engineer

Are you a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in dbt, Python, and modern cloud data warehouses? We are looking for an experienced Senior AI & Data Engineer who wants to work at the intersection of data engineering, analytics engineering, and applied AI.

This role is particularly suited to someone with a strong consulting background who is comfortable in client-facing environments and skilled at translating complex or ambiguous business requirements into scalable, production-ready data and AI solutions.

💻 About the Role

You will design, build, and scale modern data platforms and AI-driven solutions. Your work will range from robust data pipelines and transformation workflows to advanced analytics, machine learning, and emerging AI and agent-based use cases.

You will collaborate closely with both technical and business stakeholders and contribute to workshops focused on identifying opportunities where data and AI can create tangible business value.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize modern data platforms.

• Develop robust and scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows.

• Work extensively with dbt, including modular data modeling, macros, and custom materializations.

• Develop clean, reusable, production-grade Python code.

• Work with BigQuery and/or Snowflake, including architecture and performance optimization.

• Implement CI/CD for data, automated testing, and data quality monitoring.

• Translate business requirements into structured technical data and AI solutions.

• Work closely with clients and stakeholders in dynamic project environments.

• Contribute to AI initiatives and identify opportunities for new AI-driven solutions.

✅ Who We Are Looking For

• 6–7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.

• Strong experience in consulting, professional services, or client-facing project environments.

• Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and deliver solutions in dynamic environments.

• Expert-level dbt experience, including modular data modeling, macros, custom materializations, and version-controlled SQL.

• Strong professional experience with Python, including clean, reusable, production-grade code.

• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest and dependency management.

• Senior-level expertise in BigQuery and/or Snowflake, including architecture and performance optimization.

• Experience implementing CI/CD for data, data quality monitoring, and automated testing.

⭐ Nice to Have

• Experience with Vector Databases, such as Pinecone or pgvector.

• Experience building data pipelines for RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).

• Hands-on experience with Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.

• Experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, or Scala.

• Experience monitoring and optimizing cloud compute costs and data warehouse spend.

• Familiarity with MLOps and platforms such as Vertex AI.

• Experience with dbt Semantic Layer or MetricFlow.

• Experience with AI/LLM solutions and AI agents.
