About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly driven Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, product-based software implementation projects from inception to completion, while also taking ownership of site-level coordination and operational continuity.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong ownership, accountability, and attention to detail, with direct involvement in all project stages, from requirement gathering and scoping to delivery, go-live, and post-implementation support.

The Senior Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, business analysts, product managers, QA, support, and client-facing stakeholders, to ensure timely, high-quality project execution across multiple projects in parallel, while supporting a reliable, well-managed site environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of multiple software implementation projects simultaneously, ensuring successful execution from initiation through delivery, go-live, and post-implementation support.
• Work closely with internal teams, including developers, QA, product, support, and business analysts, as well as external client stakeholders, to define project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Translate business and technical requirements into clear, structured, and actionable project plans that support successful delivery and stakeholder alignment.
• Ensure on-time project delivery by managing dependencies, tracking progress, identifying risks, escalating issues when needed, and proactively resolving project bottlenecks.
• Facilitate project routines and delivery ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, milestone reviews, and regular project status meetings.
• Monitor project KPIs, budget adherence, delivery progress, and quality benchmarks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide ongoing communication, updates, and reporting to internal leadership, project teams, and client stakeholders.
• Ensure project execution is aligned with internal governance frameworks, delivery standards, and relevant industry requirements.
• Drive alignment, accountability, and collaboration across cross-functional and multicultural teams in a multi-project environment.
• Lead a team of developers, business analysts and TL. Responsible for their performance reviews, growth and retention.
• Site Leadership: Lead Surecomp site in Santiago, helping ensure a reliable, professional, and well-managed environment for employees and business operations.
• Operational Continuity: Help maintain continuity across site activities, delivery needs, and local operational priorities, ensuring smooth execution and timely follow-through.
• Cross-Functional collaboration: Work closely with site operations, HR, finance and customerfacing to support site needs, organizational priorities, and regional delivery objectives.
• Act as the senior manager on site and represent Surecomp global to the employees.

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

• Experience in project management within the software or IT industry, preferably in a product-based software company working with financial institutions, enterprise clients, or large-scale corporate customers.
• Proven track record managing multiple parallel projects, including full lifecycle implementation of complex software systems.
• Solid experience working with or delivering solutions to banks, corporates, financial institutions, or financial service providers.
• Hands-on experience with project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models.
• Experience leading and coordinating cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, QA engineers, product managers, support teams, and client-facing stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, conflict management, and prioritization capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and manage complex delivery environments with a high level of ownership and accountability.

Advantages

• Experience with site leadership, operational coordination, or ownership of local office/site activities is an advantage. It’s not a must.
• Experience managing software implementation projects for banks or financial institutions.
• Experience working in the trade finance, transaction banking, fintech, or enterprise banking software domain.
• Experience working in a global, multicultural, and matrixed organization.
• Experience managing projects involving both internal product teams and external enterprise clients.
• Experience with governance, compliance, or regulated delivery environments.
