What we're looking for

Supra is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help us automate and scale out our operations. This role is to be involved in building telemetry tools to effectively manage the security, stability and monitoring aspects of Supra's infrastructure and strengthen the team's skillsets towards building a most secure, highly stable and observable infrastructure in collaboration with Development teams.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead our DevOps team to plan, test, implement for the betterment of management of products to deliver in a much more scalable, maintainable, secure and stable deployments
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with infrastructure
• Ensure Security, compliance, governance of infrastructure and applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation

Are you the right person for this role?

The ideal candidate for us has:

• 5 years of experience as a SRE with a proven track record of delivering highly available, reliable, scalable,  secure products / projects
• Advanced experience with GCP
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python)
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with containerization and orchestration
• Experience with monitoring, logging and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana etc.,)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Github etc,)
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks will be an added advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and innovative
• Pro-active communication and collaboration abilities with native-level proficiency in written and oral English

What you can expect in your first month:

• Familiarisation with Infrastructure and Systems: Expect the SRE to quickly get up-to-speed with your infrastructure, systems, and tools. This includes reviewing architecture diagrams, understanding deployment processes, and familiarising themselves with monitoring and logging systems.
• Development of a 30-60-90 Day Plan: Expect the SRE to create a roadmap outlining their priorities and objectives for the first 30, 60, and 90 days. This plan should align with your organization's goals and objectives, and provide a clear direction for their work.
• Identification of Immediate Pain Points and Quick Wins: The SRE should rapidly identify areas of immediate concern, such as single points of failure, performance bottlenecks, or security vulnerabilities. They should prioritize and tackle quick wins to demonstrate value and build momentum.
