Description

We're looking for a Lead Backend Engineer (PHP) to join our Connectors group in our Helsinki HQ or fully remote from Finland.

The Connectors group works with different group-wide initiatives spanning connectors, aiming to improve our and our customers' abilities to get data from different sources and improve usage experience. In other words, the core of what we do!

 Your day-to-day work and responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of new features and functionalities to our connectors
  • Planning new initiatives and features
  • Close collaboration and interaction with other product teams 
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure an amazing user onboarding and experience.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards.
  • Support and share knowledge with your colleagues.
  • Improving systems monitoring and alerting
  • Utilizing existing monitoring tools to ensure system stability

 This role is for you if you have:

  • 6+ years of back-end experience working with Vanilla PHP 
  • Previous experience in a Tech Lead role
  • Experience working with API integrations
  • Ability to conduct unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing 
  • Good understanding of architecture & software design
  • Good grasp of the software testing discipline
  • Understanding of security best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Fluent communication in English
  • Ability to give effective feedback

 Nice to have skills: 

  • Understanding of monitoring tools and ability to interpret monitoring data. This includes tools such as Datadog, OpenSearch, Grafana, etc., which are used to track application performance and system metrics.
