What You’ll Do:

The mission of the data team leader is to drive the design, build and populate sunbit’s data landscape. You’ll be coordinating between data professionals, squad leaders, product managers, and your team to drive the data platform development process.

• Lead Team of Data Engineering (Analytics, ML, Streaming) 
• Solve challenging data problems and utilize cutting-edge data technologies to gain business advantages
• Manage, develop and mentor your data engineering team to fulfill their potential and grow the next generation of data leaders
• Build scalable data pipelines for batch and stream processing in an evolving and growing startup.
• Coordinate with squad leaders, product managers, data analysts and data scientists.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of development experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a team leader
• Hands-on experience and understanding of data architectures.
• Experience in the development and deployment of large-scale high-performance systems.
• Self-motivated, motivated to learn and collaborate, an out-of-the-box thinker, and a problem-solver with great interpersonal communication skills.
• B.Sc in computer science or equivalent.
• Fluent in English
• Experience in Spark - In-depth knowledge in Apache Spark and the broader Data Engineering ecosystem
• Direct experience with SQL (e.g., Redshift/Postgres/MySQL), data modeling, data warehousing, and building ELT/ETL pipelines - MUST
• Python/ NodeJS experience.
• Experience in scalable data architecture, fault-tolerant ETL, and monitoring of data quality in the cloud
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and big data technologies (EMR, EC2, S3, Snowflake, spark-streaming, Hive, DBT)
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, debugging, and root-causing defects in large-scale systems.
• Deep understanding of distributed data processing architecture and tools such as Kafka, Spark and Airflow
• Experience with design patterns and coding best practices, understanding of data modeling concepts, techniques, and best practices
• Proficiency with modern source control systems, especially Git
• Basic Linux/Unix system administration skills

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field - An advantage

What You’ll Do: 

As a member of our BE core team, you’ll lead designs and develop the backend components for Sunbit’s products, design and build system architecture, and significantly build infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies.

You will do it in collaboration with a great team of engineers.

8+ years of experience in server-side development.

8+ years of experience with Java languages.

Proficient with Scala or Kotlin.

Professional with SQL/ NoSQL.

Hands-on experience and understanding of application architecture.

Experience in Unit, Integration, and E2E Testing.

Experience in the development and deployment of large-scale, high-performance systems.

Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.

Experience in Agile/Continuous Deployment.

Experience with event messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.

B.Sc in computer science or equivalent.

Self-motivated and great team player, motivated to learn and collaborate, out-of-the-box thinker, independent and responsible problem-solver.

What You’ll Do:

• Create new data solutions, maintain existing and be a focal point for all technical aspects of our data activity. You will develop advanced data and analytics to support our analysts and production with validated and reliable data. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong knowledge of data pipelines, and an ability to translate business needs into flawless data flow.
• Create ELT/Streaming processes and SQL queries to bring data to/from the data warehouse and other data sources.
• Own the data lake pipelines, maintenance, improvements, and schema.
• Create new features from scratch, enhance existing features, and optimize existing functionality.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders across the company, like data developers, analysts, data science, etc., to deliver team tasks. Work closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop a long-term data platform architecture strategy.
• Implement new tools and development approaches.
• Ensure adherence to coding best practices and development of reusable code
• Constantly monitor data platform and make recommendations to enhance system architecture On both ETL\ELT and real-time pipelines  





What We Need:

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer

What You’ll Do:

The Security Architect plays a pivotal role in defining and advancing Sunbit’s security posture. This individual will lead and manage security projects from inception to rollout and will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a robust security architecture aligned with Sunbit’s business goals and risk management strategies. Adept at data security and well-versed in emerging cybersecurity trends, the ideal candidate will ensure the resilience and security of our systems against evolving threats.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop Security Architecture:
• Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive security architecture framework, aligning with Sunbit’s business objectives and risk tolerance.
• Design security models and controls, ensuring the security, integrity, and confidentiality of sensitive data and our systems.
• Security Solutions & Project Management:
• Evaluate, recommend, and lead the implementation of advanced security solutions.
• Manage security projects from inception to rollout, collaborating with IT, development, and various business units to ensure secure and timely delivery.
• Threat and Risk Assessment:
• Proactively identify and assess security risks, vulnerabilities, and formulate mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and drive remediation activities, focusing on data security aspects.
• Policy Development and Compliance:
• Develop, refine, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures with an emphasis on data security.
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies and applicable laws and regulations, addressing both organizational and data-centric security needs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
• Engage with a range of stakeholders including CISO, IT, legal, and business units, to align security initiatives with business goals.
• Clearly communicate security concepts, risks, and mitigations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Security Awareness & Culture:
• Develop and deliver security awareness training focusing on data security.
• Foster a culture of security mindfulness across the organization.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SABSA are highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years in information security, with at least 3 years in a security architect role, preferably in the fintech or financial services sector.
• Skills:
• Profound expertise in security architecture, design, and assessment, particularly regarding data security.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, risk management, and mitigations.
• Familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
