The Director, Digital Tech Lead operates at the Value Stream level, providing oversight across multiple teams. This pivotal role is responsible for driving the execution of technical and architectural decisions, ensuring the implementation of best practices to achieve client outcomes.
In partnership with the Value Stream Owner, the Director, Digital Tech Lead serves as a technical solution owner, working as a bridge between architecture and delivery excellence in service of business outcomes. The Director, Digital Tech Lead ensures accountability for technical delivery, leading the solutioning with other platform owners and fosters a collaborative environment, keeping team members engaged and invested.
This is a critical role, providing technical acumen across the delivery teams and working in close partnership with Platform Owners and Tech Leads who serve this Value Stream. Additionally, the Director, Digital Tech Lead maintains the technical roadmap for the business, ensuring that delivery aligns with strategic goals. The Director, Digital Tech Lead is hands-on, actively participating in the development process to guarantee successful technical solution delivery.

- Extensive experience as a developer or technical lead with technical acumen and exposure to various technical functions (e.g., operations, testing) and new technologies.
- Ability to manage within a complex ecosystem of technology, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Capable of developing solutions and solving problems as they surface, providing hands-on coding support as needed.
- Facilitate technical and business discussions within the team to help define the work needed to achieve minimum required business value.
- Experience in setting direction for developers within the team on solution development.
- Seen as an expert within the technical components of the products and services delivered by the team.
- Works with a focus on creating reusable and scalable solutions that align with the roadmap.

- University education with a degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in digital transformation, value stream ownership
- Experience working in agile teams with a strong understanding of agile ways of working
- Experience managing technical priorities within an evolving value stream backlog
- Understands how to decompose large technical initiatives into actionable technical enablers that can be delivered iteratively

- Provide a strong partnership to Business stakeholders and provide technical acumen towards understanding strategic business direction and goals and providing appropriate technology solutions for Client outcomes. Partner closely with the Value Stream Owner to document and prioritize technical features and enablers in the value stream backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Proactively engage with Business, Client Experience and Platform Owners understand insights and provide expertise necessary for feature development. Maintain the technical roadmap for the business and ensures integrated code is released and launched to production, actively participating in the development process to guarantee successful delivery.
- Take full accountability for solution level technical decision-making and direction, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices. Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, such as design documents, technical roadmaps, ensuring clarity and accessibility
- Provide advanced technical and development guidance to the Value Stream, including setting direction on complex technical solutions and supporting intricate code fixes. Collaborate with the Technical Lead, Scrum Master and Product Owner to address and escalate complex technical issues, ensuring swift resolution to maintain completion of deliverables
- Lead and actively participate in value stream-level agile ceremonies and Review driving continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Release management, participate in go/no-go decisions, and ensure a smooth path to production to ensure delivery solutions are successfully deployed.
- Foster a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) by implementing and maintaining automated pipelines. Ensure that all code changes are automatically tested and deployed to production environments, reducing the time to market and increasing reliability.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Collaborate with QA teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that all new features and bug fixes are thoroughly tested before release.
