As an iOS Engineer in the Activation squad within our Growth Tribe, you'll be instrumental in developing the systems that help our merchants get up and running quickly, discover, and fully leverage SumUp's suite of products. Your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of our merchants. You'll achieve this while working with state-of-the-art technologies in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

You'll be great for this role if

  • You have hands-on experience developing mobile applications of similar complexity to SumUp’s Super App
  • You are proficient in Swift
  • You are well-versed in architectural design patterns such as MVVM and MVP, with a proven ability to create modularized and scalable app architectures
  • You are passionate about user experience, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, user-centric applications
  • You take pride in writing clean, maintainable code and have a pragmatic approach when necessary
  • You enjoy sharing knowledge and mentoring other engineers, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment

About the team

The Activation team within the Growth Tribe is on a mission to empower newly signed-up merchants, guiding them through their initial product experiences tailored to their preferences. We ensure they become aware of our comprehensive product ecosystem and understand how our various offerings seamlessly integrate to support their business needs.

Our mission spans three platforms—web, iOS, and Android—and we design, build, and maintain the microservices necessary to deliver this experience. The features we develop have a significant global impact, reaching millions of SumUp merchants worldwide.
