Day in the Life of a Senior Backend Developer at Sumo Digital:

In this role, you will be responsible for deploying servers to the cloud, configuring environments, and conducting load testing to ensure optimal performance. Your problem-solving skills will be crucial in triaging and investigating bugs, as well as fixing them to maintain the smooth operation of our systems.

Additionally, you will be playing a key role in the development process by writing code systems for Stampede and providing insightful suggestions for improvement in the code, technology and development process. What you need to do this job:

• Experience using Cloud Services, any one or more of: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with production-level cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Any one or more of the programming languages: C#, Go, Python, JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience in running and launching a realtime-multiplayer game, at scale (>10,000 CCU)

The Interview Process:

The interview process for this role will consist of approximately three stages:

1st Stage: The first stage in the interview process will be meeting with the studio technical director and the associate technical director, in this interview we will talk through the project you'll be joining and your technical skills and experience for this role.

2nd Stage: The second stage in the interview process will be with members from the programming team outside of the backend developers, this interview will give you the opportunity to meet more members of the team and get to know about the culture at Sumo Digital, Leamington.

3rd Stage: This will be the final stage in the process where you will meet with the studio director and project development director, this interview will entail a combination of technical and cultural aspects.
