As an Engineering Manager at Sumerge, you will play a pivotal role in leading our talented team of software engineers. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, facilitating their development and career growth.
- Oversee the recruitment and performance management processes within the team.
- Identify skill gaps and provide training to enhance team capabilities.
- Set strategic goals for the team and effectively communicate them to stakeholders.
- Enhance development workflows and implement process improvements.
- Ensure high-quality technical output from the team, balancing innovative solutions with practical trade-offs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customers and project managers, on roadmap execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated experience in people management and team development.
- In-depth knowledge of software engineering principles and design practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
