About Stytch

Stytch is the most powerful identity platform built for developers. With advanced features like device fingerprinting and account takeover-resistant authentication, Stytch provides the infrastructure to make your company’s identity and access management secure, reliable, and scalable.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Business Systems Engineer to help us build and scale our Salesforce CRM and related systems. You are a highly skilled Salesforce professional with either a data engineering or software development background. You are capable of working across all levels of the organization. You are adept at crafting, implementing and evolving out of the box and custom solutions that employ best practices for systems integration (API and IPaaS Solutions) across the SFDC ecosystem.

You will work closely with our Business Operations team along with our cross functional stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Data, Product, Developer Success and Engineering to ensure we are building systems that will grow with the rest of the org.

This is a critical role within the organization with an incredible opportunity to drive impact and value quickly.

This role will be a hybrid position in San Francisco.

What Excites You

  • A Collaborative Environment: You thrive in a setting where there's a close feedback loop between the work you do and the impact it has on our customers. Working alongside executives, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams to drive projects to success is what gets you excited.

  • Visionary Yet Practical: You’re passionate about defining and driving the technical direction for our GTM systems, including Salesforce. You have a clear vision for the future but know how to build incremental milestones, making smart trade-offs to deliver value quickly while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and integrated with other enterprise platforms.

  • Passion for Coding and Quality: You love coding and take pride in the quality of the code you write and review. Staying close to the systems you own, ensuring they remain reliable, performant, and scalable, is important to you. Establishing and maintaining coding standards and QA processes is something you are passionate about.

  • Shaping the Culture: You’re excited about putting your stamp on the team, shaping its culture, and growing the team through feedback and mentorship. You enjoy leading strategic initiatives, driving process automation and data integration projects to enhance efficiency, and working closely with team members to ensure everyone is aligned and thriving.

What Excites Us

  • Salesforce Expertise: Over 3 years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex, scalable solutions. Experience with technologies like Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs is essential.

  • Business Insight and Cost Management: Deep understanding of business processes such as billing, revenue recognition, and order management. You can evaluate and select cost-effective cloud solutions, communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and align technical initiatives with business objectives.

  • Strategic Execution: Experience in setting and executing strategic technical visions for complex Salesforce implementations and integrations. Ability to align technology initiatives with business goals and lead transformative projects that enhance operational efficiency and business agility.

  • Systems Integration Expertise: Strong skills in integrating Salesforce with other enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and IPaaS solutions. Familiarity with event-driven architectures and managing data flows across multiple platforms.

  • Governance and Compliance: Experience in establishing governance frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements (such as GDPR), and internal policies. Ability to maintain data security and privacy while navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to tackle and resolve high-impact, complex technical challenges. Focused on performance optimization, scalability, and system resilience, with experience designing solutions for high-volume data processing and integration challenges.

  • Agile and DevOps Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading teams in Agile environments. Proficient in Salesforce DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing frameworks.

  • Self-Management: Capable of designing, building, and delivering projects independently, while collaborating effectively with the RevOps team and other business operations members. You take ownership of your work and drive projects to successful completion.

What Success Looks Like

  • Technical Mastery: Build and maintain new, highly reliable services that our internal teams can depend on. Improve existing systems to be both user-friendly and secure.

  • Ownership: Partner with your manager to develop the technical roadmap for the GTM systems. Collaborate with the stakeholders on GTM to prioritize critical projects and see them through to production, ensuring they meet business goals.

  • Ruthless Standards: Establish the foundation build of our GTM systems. As the first engineer in this role, you'll set high standards and best practices, creating a strong framework for all future hires. Your work will lay the groundwork for ongoing excellence and innovation within the team.

Technologies You’ll Work With

  • Salesforce Ecosystem: Salesforce CRM, Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Salesforce APIs

  • Programming and Scripting: Python, HTML, JavaScript

  • Data and Integration Tools: SQL, Snowflake, Mode, Outreach, Clay, Hightouch

  • Version Control and DevOps: Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks

  • Web Services: WCF, REST, XML, JSON

Bonus Skills

  • Certifications: Salesforce Developer I & II, System Architect, Technical Architect, Application Architect

With these skills and responsibilities, you’ll help drive our organization forward, ensuring our systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with our strategic goals.

Expected base salary $150,000 - $200,000. The anticipated base salary range is not inclusive of full benefits including equity, health care insurance, time off, paid parental leave, etc. This base salary is accurate based on information at the time of posting. Actual compensation for hired candidates will be determined using a number of factors including experience, skills, and qualifications.

We're looking to hire a GREAT team and that means hiring people who are highly empathetic, ambitious, and excited about building the future of user authentication. You should feel empowered to apply for this role even if your experience doesn't exactly match up to our job description (our job descriptions are directional and not perfect recipes for exactly what we need).

We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workspace where everyone (regardless of age, education, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or any personal characteristics) feels like they belong. We look forward to hearing from you!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We prioritize job seekers as our customers, unlike bigger job sites, by charging a small fee to provide them with curated access to the best companies and up-to-date jobs. This focus allows us to deliver a more personalized and effective job search experience.
  • Salaries for the engineering jobs on our site range from $100K-$200K. On average, senior engineer positions on our EchoJobs are about $160K.
  • The EchoJobs positions have been sourced and vetted from the top companies to work for in the US as a software engineer, including LinkedIn and other reputable job sites. We also have syndicated jobs from companies that have just raised funding, as well as those that have great unique products and culture. From all of these sources, our founder, Morgan, has also resourced the company's authenticity in terms of their website, public appearance, and more.
  • Yes, our users asked us for just this, so now our search filters allow you to search for your top jobs via location, as well as by onsite, remote, or both. Approximately 30% of our jobs are remote, so you’ve got the best options for you!
  • We have not yet implemented this option, but are considering doing so in the future. For the moment, you would need to cancel your subscription, and resubscribe when you wanted to come back.
  • We add new jobs to EchoJobs every day! We scan our sources for the newest jobs, verify them, and post them to EchoJobs within minutes. We add about 2,000-3,000 new jobs for you each day!
  • From starting your job search to getting hired, the entire job search process can take us software engineers anywhere between 3-6 months. However, at EchoJobs, we’re striving to shorten this duration by finding the best, newest jobs for you, so you can do less job searching, and more applying.
  • We’d recommend checking EchoJobs daily, as we add new jobs to the site each day. Additionally, if you got a chance to read our previous email on “what makes EchoJobs different from any other job search tools,” we also recommended that you set a job alert based on your job filters, so if you get emails on those new jobs, you could be checking more than once per day.
  • If you decide to continue with us after the 1-month trial, we definitely recommend this, as we all know it usually takes 3-6 months to find a quality job as a software engineer these days. So to best support you, we just adjusted our membership options at EchoJobs to monthly, 3 months, or 12 months (this option is more for passive job seekers looking a little bit for the future if they want to come back to work or make a job switch potentially. This lets you see what’s out there in case an even better fit job becomes available.)
  • EchoJobs is truly the only job site of its kind. We want to be THE spot for you to find the best job for you, and haven’t encountered any other company doing this. Other job sites are in niches besides software engineering or focus on a small portion of engineering jobs (like a specific coding language). In the words of Morgan, our founder, “I think what makes EchoJobs different is the amount of jobs, frequency that we add new jobs (we add 2,000-3,000 new jobs daily!), and the powerful search engines to find exactly the job you want more easily and efficiently. We can provide you with the most jobs that are vetted by us, we’ll continually find more new jobs for you, and we make it easier for you to apply and get hired.
