Join Stryker’s Sports Medicine Research & Development team in Freiburg and contribute to innovative patient-specific solutions that support clinical decision-making in minimally invasive joint surgery. During your internship, you will work with medical image data, advance AI/ML-based technologies, and help shape future medical device solutions.
What You'll Do
Support the advancement of image-based technologies for Sports Medicine applications, by applying computer vision and machine learning techniques to medical image data.
Investigate, develop, and evaluate innovative AI/ML analysis methods.
Contribute to data preparation, annotation, and labelling activities.
Develop scripts and tools to automate analyses and enable efficient data processing workflows.
Collaborate with an international R&D team on research and product development initiatives.
What You'll Bring
Academic Pursuit: You are currently pursuing a master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or similar study and are actively seeking an internship for a 6-month duration. Ideally, you have previous experience with medical imaging and real-world AI/ML model development.
Technical Drive: You are passionate about improving your technical expertise, especially in areas like AI/ML, software development, and medical imaging.
Software Savvy: Ideally, you are proficient in Python development and have initial experience with deep learning and frameworks such as Tensorflow or PyTorch and/or computer vision libraries (e.g. OpenCV), enabling you to work independently.
Effective Communication: Your strong spoken and written English skills (minimum B2) empower you to confidently engage in our international environment and successfully document your work in scientific English.
