Senior Software Developer  (Ruby on Rails)

We are looking for a full stack developer with Ruby on Rails experience to join our team. As part of our core team, your experience will make a direct and substantial contribution to our product’s design and development. 

As part of the product team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with customers in developing and testing new product concepts and specifications. As our business continues to grow, you will be well positioned as a core team member to take a leading role in our success.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Discussing and analyzing specification documents to refine requirements and propose solutions. 

• Writing efficient and reliable code. 

• Supporting critical or escalated customer issues. 

• Helping to instill scalable development processes. 

• Unit testing code and performing code reviews. 

• Assisting with QA testing and troubleshooting. 

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 4 years' experience as a full stack developer with a solid understanding of general security, development workflows, best practices and standards. 

• Good knowledge and experience working with Ruby on Rails and MySQL. 

• Good knowledge of responsive web development - React, HTML, CSS and JavaScript 

• DevOps experience with AWS is an asset. 

• Communicate proficiently in English. Fluency in French or other languages would be an asset. 

Skills: 

• Be able to develop innovative technology solutions to complex use cases and workflows. 

• You should enjoy working in a small team environment and occasionally interacting directly with customers.
