Introduction (1):
An engineering internship at ST provides a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a dynamic and international environment. Join us for an exciting internship where you will be involved in developing a test bench based on National Instruments hardware and LabVIEW programming. This project aims to characterize a cooler system in terms of thermal efficiency and pressure drop, enhancing your skills in testing and instrumentation within the semiconductor industry.
Projects Overview:
- As a Testing Engineer intern at ST, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a test bench to characterize a cooler system. The test bench will utilize National Instruments hardware and LabVIEW programming to control the cooler system and emulate the power module, monitoring feedback signals to compute thermal resistance (Rth) and pressure drop. This project will provide hands-on experience in testing methodologies and instrumentation techniques
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a test bench using National Instruments hardware and LabVIEW.
- Develop drivers to control and manage all sub-elements of the bench, such as the cooler system, power supply, and sensor feedback.
- Monitor and acquire feedback signals to compute thermal resistance (Rth) and pressure drop.
- Conduct testing and validation to validate the test bench
- Conduct testing and validation to characterize the cooler system's thermal efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the test bench meets project requirements.
Requirements:
- Recent graduate or undergraduate in electrical electronic and mechatronic Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW programming and National Instruments hardware.
- Knowledge of power management architecture for embedded systems
- Good knowledge of electronic measurements, instrument (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Benefits:
- Gain practical experience in developing test benches for semiconductor testing.
- Work on a project that involves advanced testing methodologies and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to enhance your skills in testing and characterization.
Introduction (2):
Experience a dynamic internship at ST focused on enhancing the endurance test bench to characterize the power module in real application environments with an active load. This project offers a hands-on opportunity to analyze, model, and implement new functionalities, providing valuable insights into inverter testing within the automotive industry.
Project Overview:
As a Testing Engineer intern at ST, you will be responsible for enhancing the endurance test bench to characterize the power module in real application environments with an active load. The device under test will be connected to the emulation of an e-motor in a back-to-back setup with LC(L) connection filters, to be defined by the candidate. This project will involve setting up a comprehensive testing environment to assess the power module's performance under realistic conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new functionality for the endurance test bench to characterize the power module with an active load.
- Develop test sequence with TestStand.
- Define and optimize the LC(L) connection filters for effective testing.
- Conduct testing and validation to evaluate the power module's behavior under active load conditions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the test bench meets project requirements.
Requirements:
- Recent graduate or undergraduate in electrical electronic and mechatronic Engineering or related field.
- Experience in firmware development (C, C++) for embedded applications running on microcontroller.
- Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink
- Knowledge of power management architecture for embedded systems
- Knowledge of LabView TestStand environment.
- Good knowledge of electronic measurements, instrument (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Proficiency in testing methodologies and instrumentation techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Benefits:
- Gain practical experience in characterizing power modules with active loads in automotive applications.
- Work on a project that involves advanced testing methodologies and real-world applications.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to enhance your skills in testing and characterization.
