YOUR ROLE 

You will be a key contributor to SiC Technology volume ramp-up in ST. The work location will be in the new mass-production fab in Catania for the manufacturing of SiC substrate wafers, this facility will be a first of a kind in Europe for the production in volume of SiC epitaxial substrates, integrating all steps in the production flow.

Strong link is maintained with STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB, located in Norrköping, Sweden, with opportunities for on-site training and collaboration.

STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB, previously named Norstel AB, is the ST competence center in SiC material technology: the company has been developing silicon carbide for 20 years, first at Linköping University, and since 2006 in a dedicated production facility in Norrköping.

As a person in charge of Data Analysis your main tasks will be:

• Business Intelligence reporting and dashboard development this task will require interaction with the different domains of the newly built fab like quality, production and engineering to collect their needs and transform them in product to simplify their day-by-day activities
• Support KPI definition to monitor process performances and implementation of visualization tools
• Develop model to describe analytically the processes to improve quality and throughput
• Develop machine learning models to improve decision making processes and reduce process times (e.g., defectivity)
• Increase engineering team understanding of the process providing them easy to access reports and dashboards

A deep knowledge of production flows and their peculiarities is required. Training with engineering and production teams will be organized to ensure the right knowledge is acquired.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

Candidates that best fit this role should have/be:

• Master’s degree Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics or equivalent with specialization in data analysis or data science
• Regular usage of IT Tools – ability to develop in various languages (Python preferred)
• Knowledge in Data base organization and Data access (SQL and no SQL DB)
• Knowledge of Computer vision skills
• Basic skills in statistics, data science and analytics
• Data visualization skills would be appreciated
• Hold excellent communication and organizational skills with minimum supervision
• Capability to communicate effectively with teams working in IT
• Have a collaborative approach and excellent teamwork spirit both in person and with remote teams strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
