Job Description

A DevOps team co-operating with Data and Machine learning departments is looking for an experienced and talented DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of our software products.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions using cloud services and containerisation technologies (Docker, Nomad).
• Develop and maintain deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools to automate software delivery processes.
• Collaborate with software development teams to optimise applications for deployment, performance, and scalability.
• Configure and manage infrastructure orchestration tools like Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Implement and maintain service discovery and configuration management using tools like Consul and Vault.
• Ensure high availability, security, and disaster recovery for production systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance issues, and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices for software delivery, security, and infrastructure management.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and propose innovative solutions to improve our infrastructure and processes.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platform (AWS preferred) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).
• Experience with containerisation technologies and orchestration tools (Docker, Nomad).
• Familiarity with service discovery and configuration management tools like (Consul, Vault).
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and configuration management (Python).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git, Bamboo).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to have experience with:

• Kafka
• Machine Learning tools like SageMaker
• Spark applications and infrastructure like EMR, Glue
• OpenTelemetry, ElasticSearch
• Airflow, DBT
• Certifications in relevant technologies (AWS, Hashicorp)
