Technical Data Steward

Develop and publish data definitions, rules, mappings, and transformations. Facilitate effective data governance practices and provide actionable insights to support business objectives. Ensure the integrity and quality of our data assets. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Station Casinos “We Win Hearts” Company-wide culture and demonstrating Station Casinos’ Championship Service Standards at all times. 
• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. 
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across various systems and platforms. 
• Monitor and enforce data standards, data definitions, and data lifecycle management. 
• Conduct data audits and data profiling to identify and address data quality issues. 
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data-related projects and initiatives. 
• Identify and resolve application performance and availability issues in a cost-effective and timely fashion. 
• Translate business needs into technical specifications, business rules and source to target data mappings for IT development teams to implement.
• Perform data analysis to support decision-making and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. 
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data initiatives with business goals. 
• Provide training and support to business users on data management practices and tools. 
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner. 
• Identify opportunities for process improvements related to data management and business analysis.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data governance and business intelligence. 
• Recommend and implement enhancements to data systems and business processes. 

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)) are a plus. 
• At least two (2) years of experience in data management or data stewardship roles. 
• Working knowledge in Hospitality, Gaming and/or Accounting applications, and others. 
• Proven experience with data governance tools, data quality tools, and business intelligence platforms. 
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Cognos, Excel, Tableau, Power BI). 
• Working knowledge of agile principles and practices. 
• Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. 
• Ability to communicate effectively with Stakeholders, Team Members, Product Owners, and Management in both written and verbal form. 
• Must be able to work on call on a rotational basis as required. 
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
