Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Security Engineer to join Platform Security Solutions organisation at Technology Platform Engineering & Operations division to enhance our patching and vulnerability remediation capabilities through automation and orchestration. This is not a typical security governance or vulnerability management analyst role responsible for scanning and/or triaging security findings. Partnering with our Senior Engineers, Architects and internal customers, the role holder will become a hands-on subject matter expert in Windows patch automation platforms like Tanium, WSUS, Azure Update Manager, securing 25000+ servers across hybrid landing zones and helping us transform the bank to be ready to face and respond to the new frontier AI threats at an unprecedented pace. The Junior Security Engineer will also support and maintain the on-prem and cloud infrastructure which our products rely on, as well as interact with our internal customers to make sure we deliver on the promise of a more cyber resilient, user-friendly bank.

Required Skills and Experience

• 1-3 years of experience as a Windows System Administrator, Security Analyst, Security Engineer or Technical Support Engineer
• Basic Windows Server troubleshooting skills
• Basic scripting skills (Powershell or Python)
• Experience working with ticketing systems like Jira or
• Ability to read and create technical documentation
• Experience working with stakeholders in multiple time zones in a rapidly changing environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as Tanium administrator
• Previous experience working in a regulated industry
• Demonstrated fluency in using LLMs to speed up and enhance engineering workflows

Note: The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office

Minimum Salary:​

zł87,000 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
