Location: Bangalore, India

Time Type: Full time

Job Description

Officer – Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in enterprise application development, low-latency services, and cloud-native product engineering. The ideal candidate combines hands-on coding ability across backend and frontend technologies with the ability to independently deliver high-quality modules from design through production release.

As an Officer, you will own end-to-end delivery of full-stack components and services, working closely with product owners, architects, QA, and engineering peers to translate business requirements into scalable, resilient, and secure solutions. This role is suited for an engineer who can operate independently, make sound technical decisions at the component level, and mentor junior team members while contributing to pod-level engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently design, build, test, and deploy full-stack modules and application features end-to-end.
  • Own component-level technical design, including backend services, frontend interactions, API contracts, data models, and integration points.
  • Develop and maintain backend services in Python and/or Java and frontend applications using React and/or Angular.
  • Build and enhance RESTful APIs, service integrations, and business logic layers supporting platform and product capabilities.
  • Deliver responsive, reusable, and maintainable frontend components aligned with UX, accessibility, and design standards.
  • Drive adoption of engineering best practices within the pod, including testing, code quality, CI/CD, documentation, secure coding, and release readiness.
  • Deploy and support applications on cloud-native platforms, including AWS and/or Azure.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across application, API, integration, and infrastructure layers; contribute to root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
  • Collaborate with architects and product teams to refine requirements, estimate technical effort, and propose implementation options.
  • Mentor Senior Associates through code reviews, technical guidance, and day-to-day support on design and delivery.
  • Contribute to improvements in performance, observability, maintainability, scalability, and developer experience across the pod.
  • Support application monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational practices to maintain service reliability.
  • Participate actively in sprint ceremonies, design sessions, and engineering reviews, helping raise technical quality across the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5–10 years of experience in software engineering, including strong hands-on experience in full-stack development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python for backend engineering.
  • Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Solid understanding of API design, microservices, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience designing and supporting production-grade applications with ownership of performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, cloud-native deployment models, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Docker, and working knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance-aware query design.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across frontend, backend, and deployment layers.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to event-driven architecture, Kafka, or asynchronous messaging patterns.
  • Experience with GraphQL, API gateways, and integration middleware.
  • Familiarity with observability tools, logging, distributed tracing, and alerting platforms.
  • Exposure to low-latency systems or high-throughput enterprise platforms.
  • Experience in financial services, capital markets, or other regulated industries.
  • Exposure to GenAI/LLM-enabled product features is a plus.
  • Cloud certifications in AWS and/or Azure are a plus.
