Your Opportunity

Stantec's Water practice in Pasadena, California is seeking a highly motivated Wastewater Project Technical Lead to join our successful team working on iconic projects. In the Water Business Line, the PTL is accountable for work production on the project and coordinating all multi-disciplinary activities and inputs by the technical team to ensure an integrated technical solution is achieved and that the quality of all technical outputs has been confirmed by an independent review. Primary responsibilities include project delivery and design management for water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects. We are looking for someone with experience in the evaluation, planning, design and construction administration of water, recycled water, and/or wastewater infrastructure projects including alternatives analysis; treatment plant, pump station, and pipeline design; engineering services during construction; and project management. This position offers the right candidate the ability to make a major career advancement. Your Key Responsibilities

• Promote of Stantec’s project delivery structure that includes Project Managers and Project Technical Leads.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership in the development of innovative technical solutions for water and/or wastewater projects.
• Manage and execute conventional design-bid-build and alternate delivery of new and existing water, recycled water, and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects.
• Direct the work of, communicate effectively, and coordinate with project teams including multiple disciplines (drafters, designers, and other engineers).
• Develop and prepare reports, planning studies, specifications, calculations, detailed design drawings, construction submittal reviews, models and other technical deliverables for treatment, conveyance, and infrastructure related projects.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with clients on projects during planning, design, and construction.
• Support Stantec’s reputation for innovation and research through participation in California conferences, professional associations, and academic partnerships.
• Mentor young professionals in the California offices.
• Work effectively in partnership with BC leadership, the Project Pursuit teams and PMs, and proactively coordinate activities undertaken by project teams in both local and remote offices.
• Understand and proactively satisfy client’s needs and expectations.
• Ensure activities are planned and completed in an efficient and timely manner.
• Working inclusively with the client, stakeholders, the PM and the project team.
• Connect the Client, PM, independent reviewers and the project team to the project’s technical solutions.
• Provide support and guidance for personnel in the project team who have PTL aspirations.
• Proactively identify, capture, and reuse Intellectual Property (IP).
• Comply with Stantec safety procedures and protocols.
