Waste Water Engineer EIT

Your Opportunity
The role of a Water/Wastewater EIT is to work on smaller projects and as a team member of larger projects under the guidance and supervision of a senior engineer/designer. You should be able to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products for a project. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include calculations and field work. You will assist more senior engineers/designers by performing the routine aspects of engineering assignments and may assist in the analysis of proposed projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Performs basic engineering calculations.
- Assists in the preparation of engineering project documents and client presentations, as well as communication pertaining to specific project deliverables.
- Attends and assists in client, contractor, stakeholder, and regulatory agency meetings to gain a better understanding of client’s goals, site assessments, and vendor/equipment supplier contacts and coordination.
- Assists in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
- Utilizes relevant software programs to prepare exhibits and complex working drawings. Continue to develop skills using software programs for design and/or drafting.
- Assists in the review of shop drawings and submittals, assists in the request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks.
- Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions through the proper and appropriate line of reporting.
- Assists with the development of job specific discipline specifications.
- Assists in the evaluation and selection of systems and materials.
- Participates in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
- Trains less experienced team members in day-to-day activities including routine technical design, fundamental calculations, processing and company procedures.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
