Project Engineer, Site / Civil Engineering Design

Your Opportunity

Stantec’s multi-disciplinary office in Naples and For Myers, Florida has an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer Site / Civil Engineering Design. We are seeking a candidate with experience in professional practice and design related to land development site/civil engineering design. This position will be involved with significant projects, interact with clients and government agencies and effectively working with a team.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Performing all aspects of civil engineering design including layout/geometry, grading, drainage, paving, water, sewer, and erosion control. Projects may include land development (all types/sectors), roadway/intersection design, preparation of construction plans and related design reports.
• Preparing complete submission packages, supporting calculations, cost estimates, project schedules, and other duties.
• Engages in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
• Utilizes technologies in development of three dimensional models of civil systems and provides markups for junior engineers/designers.
• Prepares and revises documentation in various civil phases including site plans, and details.
• Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
• Participates in client project requirement meetings and value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
• Assists Project Manager with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents.
• Performs and oversees the performance of calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Participates in constructability review.
• Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects.
• Assists in the development of new standards and specifications for the civil group.
