Working closely with healthcare clients, architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams, you will translate functional requirements, clinical workflows, and design aspirations into innovative interior environments that meet project goals, budgets, and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will contribute to all phases of project delivery, including programming, planning, design, documentation, furniture and finish selection, and construction administration. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of interior design concepts through sketches, renderings, diagrams, material palettes, and digital visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with healthcare clients, user groups, and project teams to understand clinical workflows, operational goals, and project objectives.
  • Develop space planning, departmental planning, and adjacency studies that support efficient patient care and staff workflows.
  • Create innovative interior environments that balance function, aesthetics, infection prevention, durability, maintainability, and patient experience.
  • Participate in programming, visioning, user-group meetings, and design workshops.
  • Influence the design of interior architectural spaces, balancing aesthetics, functionality, wellness, and client objectives to create exceptional user experiences.
  • Develop finish palettes, material specifications, color studies, and furniture concepts that align with project goals and healthcare operational requirements.
  • Assist in the selection, specification, and coordination of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
  • Prepare and revise design documentation throughout all project phases, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
  • Utilize BIM technologies, including Revit, to develop and coordinate interior design documentation.
  • Coordinate interior design solutions with architecture, engineering, lighting, technology, and specialty consultants.
  • Interpret and apply accessibility codes, healthcare regulations, life safety requirements, and applicable building codes.
  • Participate in client presentations, design reviews, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Conduct product and material research to identify innovative, sustainable, and healthcare-appropriate design solutions.
  • Support construction administration activities including submittal reviews, finish reviews, site observations, and responses to RFIs as required.
  • Advocate for design excellence, innovation, and evidence-based design principles within the Healthcare Practice.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive culture.
