Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Substation Student Intern to join our Des Moines, IA office.
What You Will Be Doing:
- The student will work on developing an understanding of various aspects of Substation Design.
- Assignments may include the design of substation physical layouts, lightning protection, conduit and cable plans, grounding analysis and design, generating single and three-line schematic diagrams, panel wiring, DC schematics, control building and relay panel layouts, lighting design, and coordination with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines.
- Will work as part of a design team; could be assigned to more than one project.
Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must be enrolled in BSEE program at an ABET accredited University
- Coursework or equivalent experience in power system analysis
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior working towards a BS in Electrical Engineering
- GPA 3.0 or higher
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work legally in the United States for an unlimited time without requiring sponsorship
