SS&C is the largest global investor service provider, servicing more than 55 million investors. Continually investing in global technology and services across the spectrum of distribution channels including: Asset Managers, Financial Advisors, Wealth Managers and large financial institutions such as Banks and Insurers.

Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role. GIDS delivers global omni-channel investor servicing, including contact centre, using digital services.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position requiring significant hands-on experience. We will prioritize candidates whose background closely aligns with the core technical requirements outlined below.

We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions. This role involves contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle in a collaborative team environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure applications using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API).
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Perform unit, integration, and system testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge within the team.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Your Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a .NET Developer with 5+ years of experience and strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and Web API.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework Core).
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and consumption.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
