Cybersecurity Governance Risk and Compliance Intern

What you’ll Learn:  

This internship focuses on Third Party Risk Management, which involves evaluating the security of third-party technology vendors and documenting identified risks for remediation. 

Internship Overview: 

• 10 -12-week program beginning May 2025 

• Full-time 40hrs/week; M-F schedule 

• $21/hr

Where you’ll work:  

• This is an Onsite position. Our corporate office is located 7440 S. Hwy 121 McKinney, TX 75070  

What you’ll Do:  

​​This internship focuses will work alongside other analysts to identify, measure and report on Cybersecurity risks in the environment. The candidate should possess good communication, audit, collaboration skills.  Can be a business MIS or engineer major field. 

What we look for:  

• ​​Knowledge of NIST CSF 

• Experience with FAIR risk assessment 

• Solid Cybersecurity Domain Knowledge 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills 

• Inventory the company's third-party vendors. 

• Review contractual and technical security controls implemented by these vendors. 

• Utilize security tools to identify security gaps in third-party services. 

• Document findings in a risk registry. 

• Communicate identified risks to Cybersecurity and organizational leadership. 

• Collaborate with business and legal partners to determine acceptable risk levels. 

Intern Program Requirements: 

• Ability to provide unofficial transcript  

• Actively in University, obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Statistics, Engineering or a related field by Spring 2026. GPA of 3.2 or above. 

• Candidates who have a valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, reliable transportation, are authorized to work for any employer without sponsorship in the US and will pass criminal and driving background check with a pre-employment drug test will be considered.

• Personable people who have built strong and lasting relationships with others. 

• Solid computer, strategy, communication, organization, and time management skills
