Spotify’s Global Agency & Accounts Team delivers innovative strategic partnerships for our Global Holding Companies and advertising clients to build trust, drive business outcomes, and maximize long-term local market revenue. The team partners closely with Trading, International Sales, Business Marketing, and of course, our senior level global partners at Agencies and Brands. We are skilled cross-functional collaborators, strong communicators, and innovators who operate with measurable results in mind.


We are looking for a highly motivated Director of Sales, Global Agency & Accounts in APAC to oversee a team of Agency Development leads, Global Account Leads, and strategic partnerships across the region.  You will also support the development and implementation of scaled strategic programs with agencies and advertisers across select international markets… in collaboration with the Global Agency Leads and our partner teams. You won’t just build partnerships -- you’ll build and implement joint business plans and scaled initiatives that drive results. 

What You'll Do

  • Oversee of the symphony of internal and external Global partnership stakeholders for our identified Global Joint Business Partners
  • Manage and lead a team of Agency Development & Global Account Leads responsible for driving revenue from some of our largest agencies and advertisers
  • Manage APAC Agency strategic development, in partnership with APAC Heads of Sales, local market sales and sales support teams
  • Work closely with the NA & EMEA Agency Dev team to offer Global alignment and execution of central agreed initiatives
  • Close collaboration with Global Account leads in other markets to ensure alignment with brand JBPs when executing in APAC region
  • Ensure prioritized account alignment, segmentation and client mapping are in place to avoid duplication of work and contacts
  • Liaise closely with local markets to deliver regular updates on progress towards strategic and revenue goals and to ensure you align with local markets on conversations and deals being discussed
  • Act as a senior leader and ambassador with Holding Company and agency C Suite executives particularly across Strategy, Planning and Trading functions
  • Develop strategic relationships with Holding Company and Agency leaders in order to drive business at a local, regional or global level
  • Support regional and local market Agency teams in the execution of comprehensive agency workstreams and business reviews
  • Conceptually sell Spotify at a senior agency level to help drive revenue
  • Negotiate and deliver agency trading deals/SLAs in accordance with market guidance and legal compliance
  • Deliver high-level QBRs at a holding Company level
  • Drive consistent partner evangelism, best in class service and communication across our global Holding Company partners
  • As your relationships will be with senior executives, act as an ambassador if escalation is required

Who You Are

  • A min of 10+ years of Brand Advertising, Media Planning and/or Brand development experience leading businesses or accounts
  • Knowledge of the entire marketing mix, online and offline media and advertising solutions currently available
  • A proven leader of people with a strong track record inspiring and developing talent
  • Significant proven successful experience working in or with media & creative agencies 
  • Know Agency business and industry landscape inside and out and how to drive impact across APAC
  • Personal network in place with senior C Suite agency contacts across several agency groups and proven track record of successfully growing revenue through the development of strategic relationships
  • Strong understanding of Spotify user behavior, product and targeting suite and the ability to translate technical or complex ideas into simple and effective workable solutions
  • Worked in matrixed organizations navigating across functions and markets
  • Win the support and drive deliverable timelines from key internal cross-functional partners
  • Passion for developing high-impact solutions, presentations and leading training programs for large audiences
  • Proven success in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environmentAn out of the box creative problem solver
  • Effectively challenge the status quo to put the client at the forefront of everything you do
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Quarterly Travel will be required in this role
