We're currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our Innovation team on working brand-new products in Sportradar’s portfolio.

In the Innovation team we launch, develop, validate, and lead new product ideas using cutting-edge technologies in areas such as computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, data science, and beyond.

THE CHALLENGE:

As a software engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for the Highlights project. We use computer vision recognition for soccer to detect and collect important events in a broadcasted video, to create highlight clips. This project is currently in the MVP stage, and we have a lot of plans to further enhance it by adding support for new sports.

Responsibilities  

• Design, build and test scalable AWS-based applications, data processing pipelines for our computer vision solutions, machine learning model training infrastructure, and API endpoints.
• Analyze business requirements and design new functionalities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing software solutions. 
• Participate in Pull/Merge Request reviews. 
• Be a trusted member of your team, fostering a strong culture of collaboration and best practices in the software development lifecycle.  

YOUR PROFILE:

• Experience working as a Software Engineer, with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility. 
• Experience working with AWS and building applications in this environment. 
• In-depth understanding of containerization and deployment technologies.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, etc.). 
• Expertise in Python, with additional experience in other programming languages considered a plus.
• Experience in developing and maintaining web APIs using frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, gRPC, or AsyncAPI.
• Proficient in implementing CI/CD pipelines for software release lifecycle.
• Knowledge of the lifecycle of ML/DL applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Open-minded and proactive attitude in pushing things forward and removing blockers by effectively coordinating with cross-functional teams.
