Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who loves developing and contributing to cloud native applications.

As an engineer, you have a great understanding of modern development techniques and can be a partner for the team to choose the best solutions. We expect that you can be an advocate of clean code, and clean architecture, TDD (Test Driven Development), pair programming and always welcome feedback. You will be given a lot of autonomy and we want you to use the most of it and drive the team towards technical excellence.

What you will do as a Senior Software Engineer:

  • Design, build, test, and deploy cloud-native solutions used by our Enterprise Customers, supporting billions of calls per month with hundreds of millions of end users.
  • Work on an empowered cross-functional team with Product, Engineering, Design and DevOps to deliver on your team’s core mission.
  • Advocate and learn to optimize your team’s applications for maximum speed, scale, security, and maintainability through best practices.
  • Participate in Pull/Merge Request reviews.
  • Be a trusted member of your team, fostering a strong culture of collaboration and best practices in the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a Back-end Developer working in a professional software environment.

  • Experience with one of the following: Golang or PHP.

  • Experience with System Design and Architecture, developing and building large scale systems

  • Experience with data-driven architecture and systems design (RESTful APIs, microservices architecture).

  • Experience with scalable, maintainable, reliable production software.

  • Proficiency utilizing SQL, NoSQL, In-memory stores.

  • Experience working in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) model, including GitLab/GitHub and CI pipeline automation tools.

  • Proven success working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

Bonus

  • Strong understanding and implementation of cloud-native architectures (AWS serverless and/or containers preferred) at scale in production (or a strong desire for to learn this and gain these skills). 

  • Experience working with Infrastructure as code - Serverless or Terraform.
