Job Description

As a  JavaScript Developer in our LDA (Live Data App) Team we expect that you are passionate about your craft and already have a good understanding of modern development techniques. We expect that you value simplicity, clean code, and clean architecture, you practice TDD (Test Driven Development), pair programming and always welcome feedback. You will be an integrated and important part of the team you are assigned to, will be given mentoring, and training to learn more and gain experience. 

THE CHALLENGE:  

  • Develop Scalable, High-Performance Services: Leverage your expertise in JavaScript (60% React, 40% Node.js) to build robust, high-performing services that process and deliver real-time sports data from over 30 sports disciplines worldwide
  • Master the Domain of Real-Time Sports Data: Immerse yourself in the dynamic and fast-paced world of real-time sports data, becoming a subject matter expert
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with Architects, Product Owners, and Developers to design and implement cutting-edge software solutions
  • Advise on Technology and Approaches: Provide strategic input on technology choices and development methodologies, influencing both design and technology decisions
  • Shape the Future: Play a crucial role in the design and technological direction of our services, with real opportunities to make a meaningful impact

YOUR PROFILE:  

  • Proven JavaScript Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with JavaScript, with strong proficiency in both React.js and Node.js 
  • Commitment to Quality Code: Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code following best practices such as XP and TDD
  • Agile Mindset: Strong focus on delivering working software efficiently,
    with a commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Leadership and Ownership: Ability to take ownership of technical challenge a proactive, "can-do" attitude, and the capacity to lead technical initiatives
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively

Preferred skills or what you can develop with us:  

  • Experience with cloud-based appreciations and microservices (AWS, Gitlab CI) 
  • Automation testing on various levels (BDD, Performance testing, Contract testing)
  • Distributed event streaming solutions (Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar)
  • Understanding how the code can be shipped (Docker, Kubernetes)
