Description
As a Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in accessibility automation for frontend applications, you will develop and implement automation strategies focused on accessibility testing. Utilizing frameworks like Playwright for web applications, especially those built with React and other frontend technologies, you will ensure our applications meet accessibility standards. Working within our Web Development team, you'll integrate and enhance automation practices, improving the accessibility of our web applications throughout their development lifecycle.
What You'll Get to Do
- Accessibility Automation Development: Implement comprehensive QA automation suites focused on accessibility using Playwright, optimizing testing processes and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards for our web applications.
- Strategy and Tool Selection: Propose and select tools and strategies that enhance accessibility testing, focusing on increasing efficiency, minimizing compliance risks, and ensuring inclusivity in our application designs.
- Tool Integration and Innovation: Evaluate and integrate existing and new testing tools and technologies to enhance accessibility testing within a cohesive QA environment.
- Collaboration and Advocacy: Work closely with frontend development teams to understand accessibility needs and challenges. Advocate for accessibility best practices and define clear automation requirements and technical specifications aligned with our commitment to inclusivity.
- Technical Communication: Serve as a key technical resource within the QA team, coordinating with the Product Development and User Experience departments to continually advance the accessibility and functionality of our web applications.
Must-have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ Years Experience in software quality assurance, including at least 3 years focused on accessibility testing for web applications.
- Expertise in Accessibility Automation: Proficiency with accessibility testing frameworks such as Playwright, Axe, or similar.
- Programming Skills: Strong coding skills in JavaScript or TypeScript, capable of scripting complex automation tests for React and other modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively convey technical details and project requirements to both technical and non-technical team members.
Nice-to-have Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of additional tools and frameworks that enhance accessibility testing.
- Experience with performance and security testing specifically tailored to frontend accessibility.
- Familiarity with test management software like JIRA or TestRail.
- Experience in Agile development environments and understanding of the latest trends in frontend technology and accessibility testing, including cloud-based solutions.
- Knowledge of Accessibility Regulations: Familiarity with key accessibility regulations such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Section 508, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
- Accessibility Documentation Creation: Ability to create comprehensive accessibility documentation to guide development teams and ensure compliance with legal standards.

Base Pay Range
Poland
Base Pay: PLN 148,000.00 - 203,500.00

Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
