  • Lead the development of the hardware architecture of our wearable, ensuring that the functionality and performance of the device align with the specified requirements.
  • Oversee the design process from concept to production, conducting design reviews, and making critical design decisions to meet project milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including firmware (FW) and software (SW) engineers, as well as external contractors, to drive the project forward and bring the product to market successfully. 
  • Foster effective communication between cross-functional teams, aligning project goals, and managing project timelines to deliver a high-quality product on schedule.
  • Take ownership of the design and review of printed circuit boards (PCBs) to guarantee signal integrity, manufacturability at large volumes, and compliance with standards for electromagnetic interference/electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/CE) certification. 
  • Interface with the supply chain management team to coordinate the procurement of components, manage vendor relationships, ensure timely delivery of materials, engineering change management (both during development and in mass manufacturing).
  • Mentor and coach junior colleagues within the team, providing guidance and technical expertise.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes knowledge sharing, teamwork, and innovation within the team.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience, ideally in consumer electronics and wearable devices.
  • Prior experience in bringing consumer electronics products to market.
  • Strong background in PCB design (including mechanical integration and high-density designs), (digital) signal processing, and low power design.
  • Experience with MCUs (ARM cores), wireless communication (BLE), and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with display technologies, including (touch) drivers, refresh rates.
  • Proficiency in battery operation, including power management, and wireless charging.
  • Knowledge of sensors for motion tracking and heart rate monitoring (PPG) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with medical device development or working with quality systems (QMS) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently as well as in a team environment.
