Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented and imaginative Product Design Illustrator/Graphic Designer to join our growing Hardlines team. The ideal candidate possess a strong 2D design skills to support the development of licensed and proprietary concepts, which includes concept generation, orthographic product turns, licensor and generic Art sheet submissions, and ability to create production ready digital painted or vectored production ready artwork. High Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is essential. 3D sculpting abilities and background are a plus. Given the growing demand for 3D development across both the Hardlines and Softlines teams, have a strong 3D background this would be highly beneficial to the SAR team. This individual could help support our internal 3D development needs while potentially providing additional HL PD requests. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and enjoys seeing their concepts evolve from idea to finished product.

• Design and develop hardlines products including, masks, props, weapons, collectables and costume accessories — from concept through final artwork
• Create production ready graphic treatments and product artwork for a wide variety of styles and themes
• Create illustrations, specs, renderings, and clear direction for overseas vendors and licensors to ensure accurate product execution.
• Prepare compelling presentation materials and upload finalized assets into internal systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Product Development, Production, and Licensing to drive projects forward
• Conceptualize and visualize products in both 2D and 3D, including sketches, product renderings, and presentation-ready mockups
• Research trends, pop culture, and seasonal themes to inspire new product concepts
• Build and organize mood boards, inspiration decks, and concept presentations for internal reviews and to guide future development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, buying teams, and licensing partners
• Adapt designs to meet brand guidelines and licensed property requirements
• Prepare design files/renderings and production-ready artwork suitable for manufacturing
• Contribute ideas during creative brainstorming sessions and help shape new product directions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Toy Design, Product/ Industrial Design, or a related fields like animation/game design
• 5-7 years of relevant professional design experience, preferably in Hardlines, seasonal décor, or consumer products
• Strong 2D concept development skills with the ability to create production ready artwork, orthographic product views, and production ready art sheets for Licensor submission and factory direction
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop is an absolute must
• Ability to translate 2D concepts into production-ready 3D models and prepare files for prototyping and manufacturing
• Experience in toy design, Hardlines product development, costumes, weapons, masks, accessories, or related consumer products
• Knowledge of current pop culture, gaming, animation, and entertainment trends
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Proficient with both Mac and PC operating systems is a plus
• Experience supporting HL/SL licensed product development and licensor approval processes
• Experience creating assets for overseas factories, including production specifications and artwork packages
• Additional 3D Qualifications are a Plus: ability to support multiple teams with concept development, 3D modeling, and digital/vector/graphic Art files needs
• Software experience: Zbrush, Substance Painter/Mari, Clo3D/ Marvelous Designer, Illustrator, PhotoshopBlender
• Strong understanding of anatomy, form, product functions, and stylized character design, including monsters, zombies, weapons, masks, and accessories
• Experience with both organic and hard-surface 2D products and/or 3D modeling and sculpting

Pay Range

$75,000 - $85,000
