Leads enterprise-scale data architecture and engineering initiatives, designing robust data ecosystems that support complex AI/ML operations across multiple classified and unclassified environments. Opportunity to work on real-world projects that directly impact warfighter capabilities and mission success. Help write the policy that will influence how the department tests and evaluates AI across the joint force.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement enterprise data platforms and infrastructure
- Lead design of complex data integration solutions across multiple data sources
- Optimize data processing workflows for high-volume, low-latency requirements
- Establish data governance frameworks and quality assurance processes
- Mentor mid-level data engineers and provide technical leadership
- Drive adoption of best practices in data engineering and DevOps
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data strategy and roadmaps
- Implement advanced analytics capabilities and real-time data processing solutions
Qualifications
- 10+ years of data engineering experience with increasing responsibility
- Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Polygraph
- Expertise in distributed computing frameworks and big data technologies
- Advanced knowledge of database systems, data modeling, and performance

- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into

- Experience with classified environments preferred
- AWS experience highly preferred but not required
- Military experience strongly preferred

We offer competitive compensation tailored to your experience, location, and the impact you’ll make. We’re committed to equitable pay and will share a range aligned to your level and geography during the hiring process. In accordance with state law, candidates in jurisdictions such as CA, CO, WA, NY, and others where applicable, will be provided a good-faith salary range upon request and through the hiring process.
This is a full-time, exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and is not eligible for overtime pay. Compensation for this position is provided on a salaried basis and is not subject to reduction based on hours worked.
