The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in EPBCS and be able to bridge the gap between technical and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Pre-Sales Support
- Act as a trusted advisor to prospective clients, engaging with C-level executives and business stakeholders to understand their financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting challenges.
- Lead discovery sessions to gather business requirements and articulate how Oracle EPBCS solutions, including its pre-built frameworks for Financials, Workforce, Capital, and Projects, can address their needs.
- Develop and present compelling, tailored solution demonstrations within the EPBCS environment, highlighting its value proposition.
- Work closely with the sales team to qualify opportunities, contribute to RFPs/RFQs, and help define winning sales strategies.
2. Solution Design and Architecture
- Lead and facilitate design sessions with clients to define the overall solution architecture for EPBCS implementations.
- Translate complex business requirements into a robust and scalable technical design, creating detailed design documents that serve as a blueprint for the delivery team.
- Provide expertise on leading practices in EPBCS to ensure an optimal solution, including the configuration of planning modules, dimensions, business rules, and security.
- Oversee the end-to-end architecture, including data models, integrations with ERPs (e.g., Oracle Fusion, NetSuite) or other source systems, and reporting strategies using tools like Management Reporting or Smart View.
3. Project Delivery and Management
- Serve as the lead architect throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to go-live and support.
- Manage project scope, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring solutions are delivered on-time and within budget.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the project team, including functional and technical consultants.
- Collaborate with client teams to manage change, ensure adoption, and provide ongoing support.
- Act as a key liaison between the client, internal delivery teams, and Oracle product support to resolve complex issues.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in a technology and functional role, with at least 4+ years as a Solution Architect on Oracle Hyperion Planning or Oracle EPBCS projects.
- Deep functional and technical knowledge of all aspects of Oracle EPBCS, including its four business process frameworks (Financials, Workforce, Capital, and Projects) and custom cubes.
- Proven track record of leading full-cycle implementations and managing complex projects.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
