Senior Full Stack Engineer (React & Django - Backend Focused)

A Day in the Life:

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using Python (Django) on the backend and React / React Native on the frontend
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services, ensuring performance, scalability, and security best practices
• Work with PostgreSQL to design schemas, write efficient queries, and support data-driven application features
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into well-architected technical solutions
• Contribute to code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making for complex features and systems
• Identify opportunities to improve application reliability, performance, and developer experience through refactoring and automation
• Support production systems by investigating issues, implementing fixes, and continuously improving system observability and stability

What it takes:

• Occasional in-office collaboration as needed to support team alignment and planning
• Deep backend development experience with Django, including building RESTful APIs, managing authentication and authorization, and handling complex business logic
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, indexing strategies, and data integrity best practices
• Ability to make thoughtful architectural decisions, balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability, and delivery timelines
• Proven experience owning features end-to-end, from technical design through production support
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across the full stack, including frontend behavior, backend services, and infrastructure-related issues
• Comfort collaborating in cross-functional teams and providing technical leadership through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship
