Senior Data Scientist

You Will:

• Lead and partner with project teams in developing and applying ML expertise in developing and delivering customer solutions
• Strategize modeling approaches and document and present experimental approaches and results throughout data science projects
• Be able to justify why a Data Science modeling approach was chosen over others
• Independently and effectively engaging with external technical stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand and solve critical business problems
• Design and deploy machine learning models for commercial and industrial applications with a variety of data sources such as time series streaming data, frequency data, language data, and other structured and unstructured data sources
• Lead all phases of the data science process from data exploration and processing, feature selection and engineering, model training and testing, and information synthesis
• Contribute feedback to AI product requirements definitions and serve as advisor and team lead to other data scientists in developing and applying ML expertise.
• Lead customer conversations in discovery and throughout project implementations and travel up to 10% as needed.

You’ll Have:

• A strong understanding and working knowledge of Data Science, including elements of machine learning, statistics, probability, and modeling.
• Advanced experience with Data Science programming languages, such as Python, R, Matlab
• Familiarity with Deep Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, and experience in at least one
• Applied experience of ML techniques/algorithms including: linear models, neural networks, decision trees, Bayesian techniques, clustering, forecasting, anomaly detection, and forecasting
• 6+ years of experience in building machine learning models
• Strong written and verbal communications, ability to translate complex technical topics to internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to form strong working relationships with team members, cross departmentally, customers' technical teams, and executive leadership
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
• A strong work ethic, along with the ability to prioritize and complete all job responsibilities in a timely manner
• Ability to be responsive with a willingness to take ownership of issues and drive solutions.
• Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills

It would be great if you had:

• Experience and knowledge of renewable energy, oil & gas, aerospace, manufacturing
• Graduate or Doctorate degree (or 5-8 years of equivalent experience) in one of the fields above
