Directly support the F/A-18 & EA-18G FST. Support and assist the Maintenance Readiness Team (MRT) in the development, improvement, sustainment, and implementation of requirements to the IMC/P Specification, Age Exploration Specification/Bulletins (AEB) efforts, and data trending. Participate in developing a strategy for measuring productivity and performance, including recommended improvements for possible implementation by the F/A-18 FST. Provide support to fleet readiness issues, primarily structural corrosion issues, by developing and improving predictive metrics in conjunction with tracking initiative effectiveness. Perform statistical analysis to track and trend aircraft maintenance actions, aircraft structural and system component items to support F/A-18 FST Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) for development of Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) Spec, Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETMs) updates, Focus Area Lists (FAL), and internal databases for historical reference. Prepare resourcing and production statistics for data calls. Assess and provide recommendations for establishing or changing the maintenance philosophy of new or existing systems and equipment with consideration of maintainability, supportability, operability, reliability and affordability. Conduct DECKPLATE data queries.

Experience: At least ten (10) years of experience in a relevant engineering/science field. Aviation maintenance experience preferred.

Education: High School diploma or GED.

No per diem.  

Local hire, only, in San Diego, CA area.

Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, in an office environment.  

Base Houlry Range:  $45.00-$50.00 per hour

This base pay range is specific to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Washington, and any other state that may require such disclosure. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
