Hardware Engineer – Analog & Mixed-Signal Design
Location: Bangalore, India (IN)
Experience Level: Experienced
Description
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Hardware Engineer to join our team designing the digital and mixed-signal boards at the heart of SolarEdge’s advanced energy storage products. This is a hands-on design role for an engineer eager to build deep, real-world expertise in the disciplines that make or break a mixed-signal design — grounding, EMI, robust communication, and accurate measurement — and in how these are verified at the board and full-system level.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing digital and mixed-signal boards under the guidance of senior engineers, from concept through mass production
- Contributing to the design of accurate measurements, robust communication, grounding, and power distribution
- Supporting verification and characterization of designs, on the bench and within the complete system
- Participating in design reviews and growing your technical craft
- Working in a multidisciplinary environment and collaborating across departments and sites
Requirements
- B.Tech. in Electrical, Electronics Or related Engineering Streams. Masters/PhD is Preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on mixed-signal HW design experience
- Solid foundation in analog measurement and an understanding of accuracy, error sources, and calibration
- Understanding of grounding, return-path, and power-distribution principles
- Awareness of EMI/EMC design considerations
- Familiarity with communication links (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, differential)
- Familiarity with protection circuits (overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit)
- Basic knowledge of power electronics and DC-DC converters (Buck, Boost, Flyback, Forward)
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as LTspice, PSpice, or PSIM
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with a willingness to learn systematic verification
- Familiarity with multilayer PCB layout
- Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate engineering work — analysis, documentation, scripting, and debugging
- Good documentation habits
Advantageous Qualifications
- Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) or energy storage technologies (Li-Ion, Solid State, etc.)
- Understanding of thermal management in electronic designs
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in electronics (CE, UL, etc.)
