Software Engineer BackEnd Azure Sr
Location: Mexico

Senior Backend Engineer (.NET / Azure)
Requirements:
Must Have:
- 5+ years of .NET backend development experience, including 3+ years building REST APIs with ASP.NET Core
- Strong experience with Azure cloud services at a senior level
- Hands-on experience with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
- Experience designing and supporting scalable applications, including horizontal and vertical scaling strategies
- Strong knowledge of Azure Service Bus, including Topics and Queues
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Experience with Azure App Services
- Experience with Azure SQL Server
- Strong experience designing and developing REST and gRPC services
- REST for external integrations
- gRPC for internal service-to-service communication
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth2, and Azure Entra ID
- Experience with Redis caching solutions (Redis Cache and in-memory caching)
- Experience with Managed Identities in Azure
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Azure Application Insights or Datadog
- Strong unit testing experience
- Experience designing APIs and backend platforms
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and microservices design patterns such as Saga, Circuit Breaker, API Gateway, Strangler Pattern, Outbox Pattern, Competing Consumers, and Orchestration vs. Choreography
- Exposure to AI-related solutions and integrations
Nice to Have:
- Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- CQRS, Onion Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, or Ports-and-Adapters Architecture
- Experience with dependency inversion, aggregates, and bounded contexts
- OWASP API Security Top 10 knowledge
- Experience with security reviews, penetration test remediation, or static code analysis tools such as SonarQube
- Advanced experience with C# and .NET 8+
- Strong async/await, LINQ, and dependency injection expertise
- Experience upgrading applications to modern .NET versions
- Experience documenting solutions using ADRs, C4 Models, architecture diagrams, Confluence, or draw.io
- Experience with Azure Boards, Jira, Trello, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Azure Repos
- AWS S3 exposure
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices on Azure
- Build and optimize REST and gRPC APIs for internal and external consumers
- Design cloud-native solutions leveraging AKS, Azure Service Bus, Azure App Services, and Azure SQL
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using Entra ID, OAuth2, and JWT
- Define and implement caching, monitoring, and observability strategies
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Apply microservices and distributed system design patterns to solve complex business challenges
- Develop and maintain automated tests and ensure code quality standards
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical decision-making
- Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices
