Senior Software Test Engineer (Process, Automation & GenAI)

You are a hands-on automation engineer and delivery-focused problem solver who can innovate with GenAI while ensuring robust, scalable, and production-ready quality engineering practices. You proactively identify, lead, and drive process improvements across testing activities to increase efficiency, quality, coverage, and delivery outcomes.
Role Overview
5 year experience in automation maps to candidates to +10 years of overall professional experience. We are seeking a well-rounded and highly motivated Senior Software Test Engineer to drive quality across enterprise-scale, cross-functional integration programs. This role requires a balanced combination of hands-on automation expertise, GenAI-driven testing innovation, solution-oriented delivery ownership, and the ability to identify, lead, and implement process improvements across testing activities. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable driving technical excellence, improving quality engineering practices, and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality outcomes at scale.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement across testing processes, workflows, and quality engineering practices, and drive corrective actions to enhance delivery effectiveness and quality outcomes.
· Partner with cross-functional teams to continuously evaluate and optimize quality engineering processes, metrics, governance, and automation adoption.
· Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium and/or Playwright for UI, API, and end-to-end validation
- Drive automation-first approach across functional, regression, integration, and release testing cycles
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster feedback loops
- Leverage GenAI and AI Agents to enhance test design, optimize coverage, automate test generation, and improve defect detection
- Collaborate with product, engineering, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded across the lifecycle
- Identify risks proactively and provide solution-oriented mitigation strategies aligned with delivery timelines
- Own automation metrics, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and coverage
- Ensure high-quality releases through strong validation practices, traceability, and governance
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation (UI, API, integration)
- 10+ years of overall professional experience
- 1+ year of experience in GenAI / AI Agents for testing, productivity, or engineering use cases
- Strong expertise in:
- Selenium and/or Playwright automation frameworks
- Programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
- API testing tools (Rest Assured, Postman, etc.)
- Solid understanding of: Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and SDLC
- Agile and DevOps practices
- CI/CD tools and pipelines
- Experience with GenAI-based test optimization, self-healing scripts, or AI-assisted validation
- Exposure to microservices, cloud (AWS/Azure), and distributed architectures
- Knowledge of test management tools (ADO, Jira, Zephyr)
