Technical Project Manager
About the role
The Technical Project Manager plans and coordinates internal IT and enterprise system projects from initiation through delivery, with a focus on small programs and workstreams that have limited cross‑team dependencies. You’ll bridge business and technology, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, feasibility and impact are understood, and cross‑functional teams are aligned on scope, milestones, and outcomes.
You will work independently with minimal instructions, using sound judgment to apply standards, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed while driving timely, high‑quality delivery.
What you’ll do
  • Plan and manage end‑to‑end delivery of internal IT projects defining scope, schedules, milestones, and dependencies, and tracking execution from initiation through deployment and closure.
  • Coordinate work across IT staff, vendors, and business stakeholders, facilitating core team meetings and workshops; document decisions, risks, and action items, and ensure follow‑through.
  • Lead Agile delivery for assigned teams, including planning and facilitating ceremonies (e.g., standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives), monitoring progress and performance, and organizing demos and user acceptance testing aligned with typical Agile frameworks.
  • Manage issues, risks, and dependencies proactively, engaging the right owners, driving mitigation plans, and escalating when needed to protect scope, quality, and timelines.
  • Partner with product owners, developers, business partners, and analysts to translate business requirements into clear technical deliverables and ensure solutions meet agreed functional and non‑functional needs.
  • Use data and agreed metrics to track health of projects (schedule, quality, throughput, risk), recommend corrective actions, and support fact‑based decisions.
  • Provide clear, proactive communication and status reporting to stakeholders and management, including written updates, dashboards, and presentations that highlight progress, risks, and decisions required.
What you’ll bring
Required
  • Education & experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 5+ years of professional experience, including meaningful experience managing IT or technical projects; a Master’s degree may substitute for part of this experience.
  • Delivery & methodology
  • Hands‑on Agile project management experience, including leading Scrum ceremonies and coaching teams on Agile concepts and Scrum practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects or workstreams, coordinating dependencies and driving to committed outcomes with cross‑functional partners.
  • Tools & technical fluency
  • Experience with Agile/project tools such as Jira, TargetProcess, or similar, and strong proficiency with Microsoft productivity suite.
  • Comfortable engaging with developers and architects on technical topics, system dependencies, and integration impacts (no expectation to design or code).
  • Communication & collaboration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to lead team meetings, present status and trade‑offs, and tailor messaging for technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence without authority, and drive alignment across teams and regions in support of shared outcomes.
  • Behavioral competencies
  • Demonstrates Infoblox core values, with a focus on collaboration, quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; uses structured thinking, proactive listening, and data to anticipate issues and keep work moving forward.
Preferred
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, information systems, business) and/or advanced project/Agile certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master).
  • Experience delivering projects in enterprise IT environments such as infrastructure, security, business applications (e.g., HCM, CRM, Finance), or data platforms.
