• Seeking a contract Data Analyst to join the Data & Analytics team as a hands-on support and report-building resource. This role is the front line for end users across the business who need help with reporting, data access, and understanding where data lives across our systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable triaging and resolving help desk tickets, working directly with end users to translate their questions into report or data solutions, building and maintaining Power BI reports, and administering user access to the Power BI portal. This person will work closely with data living in Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server-based sources, so comfort querying and troubleshooting across both environments is important.
• Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query).
• Working knowledge of SQL — able to read, write, and troubleshoot queries against relational databases.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (or a strong SQL Server background with willingness to ramp up on Fabric quickly).
• Prior experience in a help desk, service desk, or end-user support capacity, ideally supporting data or reporting requests.
• Strong communication skills — able to translate between technical data concepts and non-technical business users.
• Experience with, or comfort learning, user access administration/provisioning workflows for a BI or reporting platform.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a queue of concurrent tickets and requests.

• Experience supporting a manufacturing or multi-site organization.
• Familiarity with ERP-sourced data (e.g., SAP or QAD) as it feeds into BI reporting.
• Experience with ticketing/help desk systems (e.g., , Freshservice, or similar).
• Prior experience in a shared-services or centralized data & analytics team supporting multiple business functions.

• Accurate problem diagnosis and ability to resolve moderately complex IT problems rapidly and effectively.
• Serve as a first responder for tickets submitted to the Data & Analytics help desk queue, triaging, troubleshooting, and resolving requests in a timely manner.
• Work directly with end users to understand their reporting needs — talking through what they're trying to accomplish, where the underlying data lives, and the best way to get them an answer (existing report, new report, or a data location pointer).
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards based on user and business requirements.
• Write and troubleshoot queries against data sources in Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server/SQL-based databases to support report development and ad hoc requests.
• Process and fulfill help desk tickets requesting new or updated user access to the Power BI portal, following existing access request and approval workflows.
• Document report logic, data sources, and common troubleshooting steps to build a growing knowledge base for the team.
• Escalate complex data quality, source system, or infrastructure issues to the appropriate data engineering or platform resource.
• Maintain a professional, patient, and customer-service-oriented approach when working with end users of varying technical skill levels.
