The role:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Safety & Trust Engineering team. SoFi’s SAFE team is responsible for the support of the micro-services that support all of our product lines in the areas of Identity Verification, Authentication, and Member Services. High-Performance Multi-Service Architecture, Complex Database Queries, Financial Algorithms, we have everything needed to keep a Complex Problem Solver like you happy for a very long time.
What you’ll do:
- Development and Maintenance of multiple microservices written in Java and Kotlin and deployed to a Kubernetes based platform.
- Work with Engineering, TechOps, QA, and Operations in order to build the right thing
- Collaborate with a team of like-minded engineers focused on building industry-leading software
- Promoting the practices and techniques and rigor that can make us faster and with less risk, such as trunk-based development
What you’ll need:
- Fluent in at least one programming language; Java 8+, Kotlin
- Proficient with SQL and ORM
- Proficient with the Spring ecosystem, specifically SpringBoot
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Kafka and ApacheMQ
- Experience with Linux
Nice to have:
- Bonus: Experience with public cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
- Bonus: Experience with React UI/UX
- Bonus: Experience with Angular UI/UX
- Bonus: Experience with Play Framework
- Bonus: Experience with all aspects of agile test automation
