This position is responsible to support the Global Operations Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) – NPD team in developing, qualifying, and launching new products for the Sports Medicine Franchise.
The Advanced Mfg. Engineer I – NPD is part of the new product development team and will work with cross-functional teams both locally and at various manufacturing sites. This position is responsible for supporting timeline milestone commitments while meeting all Safety, Quality, and Cost requirements.

What will you be doing?
As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer I – NPD, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams locally and across multiple global manufacturing sites. You will support new product development activities throughout the entire lifecycle, gaining exposure to manufacturing, validation, design, and quality.
Your responsibilities include:
Supporting the creation and review of process flow charts, assembly line layouts, capacity analysis, and line balancing.
Providing input for the development of tooling and fixtures required for NPD activities.
Supporting the execution of lab studies and testing methods.
Creating specifications, drawings, process instructions (MPIs), bills of materials (BOMs), and routers.
Supporting problem solving, root cause analysis, and assisting in nonconformance investigations.
Participating in prototype builds, verification builds, and validation builds.
Assisting with the development, execution, data analysis, and report writing for validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ, TMV).
(Training will be provided for validation and Design Controls as needed.)
What will you need to be successful?
Education
Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
Certifications
SolidWorks certification (CSWA) or design knowledge is desirable.
Experience
Experience as an Engineering Intern or Technician in a regulated or medical industry is a plus (not mandatory).
Languages
English level B2+.
Knowledge
Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
Basic knowledge of operations deliverables and documentation.
Understanding of Quality Systems is a plus.
Familiarity with Design Controls, Process Validation, MSA, or capability analysis is advantageous.
Mechanical design knowledge is a plus.
