Development Manager for LoadNinja and Visual Test 

• Manage and mentor two teams that take care of 2 established products of Smartbear: LoadNinja and VisualTest,  
• Be responsible for the daily Engineering operational management of the team, 
• Be able to lead and define the engineering operational strategy for the team. 

Product intro 

LoadNinja is a load testing product available on the cloud. It allows you to create web and API load tests in minutes. No coding is required, even with the most complex transactions. No matter the user skill level or experience load testing - if they know how to use their web app, they can load test with LoadNinja. 

VisualTest allows you to catch visual defects automatically. It guarantees a visually perfect UI with advanced AI that quickly identifies visual differences that occur over releases and cannot be caught by traditional functional tests. VisualTest can be integrated easily into the user's existing stack.

About the role 

As an Engineering Manager, you will promote a culture of collaboration and innovation leading to success. Your teams are based in Poland and the USA. They deliver value incrementally to our users through continuous delivery by using the Kanban approach. 

• Take a proactive approach to improve the entire software development life cycle. 
• Leverage Agile best practices managing the delivery of software through continuous deployment, integration, and continuous improvement. 
• Coach and raise your engineers to reach their full potential. 
• Collaborate cross-functionally, building relationships to deliver on company goals, with a strong understanding of AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud technologies to optimize product performance and infrastructure. 
• Work effectively with product managers, engineers, and leadership to grow your team and most effectively meet business outcomes. 

We are looking for you if you have: 

• 2+ years managing software development agile teams.
• BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or Equivalent.
• Experience in a SaaS-based company with multi-site teams preferred.
• Passion for pioneering in innovative technologies, including Artificial Intelligence.
• Deep understanding of technology and architecture in a highly scalable and available setup.
• Take a proactive approach to improve the entire software development life cycle.
• Ability to turn high-level requirements into actionable plans with projected target dates.
• Determine processes and metrics to ensure products are market ready.
• Proficiency in English at least at a B2 level.
