QA Engineer – Platform Services

• Collaborate with a team to maintain a high standard of development practices on a tangible industry, a leading API development product.
• Play an importnant role in technical implementation, customer usage models, and the development of automated test cases.
• QA Tech stack: TypeScript, JavaScript, Playwright, Jest, BDD, GitHub, REST APIs
• Project Tech Stack: React, Nest.js, Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS

About the role:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at SmartBear, you will be working with internal teams around the globe to build the next generation of interconnected SmartBear applications and services. You can look forward to working with our best and brightest engineers, product managers, and UX folks to deliver meaningful centralized "Platform" services that are consumed by multiple product development teams. 

• Identify business requirements and work closely with the product owner, developers to find solutions, providing feedback and ensuring they are fit for purpose.
• Identify and agreed testing requirements/scope
• Collaborate with a Senior QA Engineer in delivering outstanding test automation solution that will meet business requirements.
• Provide feedback/input on the techniques, solutions and tools used throughout project.
• Write and maintain automated regression tests (Integration and E2E).
• Exploratory testing of feature components beyond the scope of agreed acceptance tests.

We are looking for you if you have:

• 3+ years experience in software testing/test automation.
• Experience in test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG and with source code management tools e.g. GitHub.
• Knowledge of a programming language e.g. TypeScript and/or JavaScript
• Exposure to CI tools e.g. Jenkins a plus.
• Good documentation skills when using project management and test tools e.g. JIRA, Confluence.
• Knowledge of SDLC (particularly agile) and testing principles.
• English on at least B2 level.
