Description
The Research Engineer is responsible for applying research and engineering skills and technical knowledge to provide innovative, cost-effective solutions involving new or improved research, techniques, procedures and products. The Research Engineer provides technical support to internal and external customers and other engineers.
  • Help originate new technologies and low-cost innovations that maintain Schlumberger's technical leadership position.
  • Keep abreast of company and site strategies and three-year plans.
  • Prepare cost estimates and continually analyze variables in design.
  • Build prototypes, products and systems for testing. Design, conduct and coordinate tests to verify problems and solutions, document results and develop customer presentations.
  • Ensure final products meet the needs as defined by the project.
  • Provide technical support to customers and other engineers.
  • Coordinate and communicate work effort within Schlumberger and expand external contacts.
  • Mentor others as required.
  • Keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets.markets.
  • Help publish papers and patents.
  • Provide user training for developed products.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Direct or assign work of technicians and interns, and provide guidance to engineers.
  • Participate in recruiting.

- Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering

- Graduated no more than 2 years ago.
