Mission

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for assisting in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions requiring the development or sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures or products. The Electrical Engineer also assists in planning, conducting and evaluating approaches to meeting the project objectives in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

  • · Independently design PWAs and tool sub-systems
    • Includes schematic design, part selection, system specifications and requirements
  • · Lead testing and qualification for designs under their responsibility
  • · Participate in system level testing and integration
  • · Working closely with eCAD and other support teams
  • · Generate and maintain documentation related to designs
  • · Harness design
  • · Sensor testing and selection
  • · Participate and lead LTRs/FTRs as required
  • · Interfacing with software and firmware teams
  • · Work closely with other engineers and technicians
  • · Support field testing
  • · Support manufacturing and sustaining as project matures
  • · All other standard objectives for G12+ independent contributor

Experience & Exposures:

  • · PWA design including schematics and layout best practices
  • · Analog, digital, and mixed signal design
  • · Analog electronics such as active filters, sensor interfaces, ADCs, DACs, etc
  • · Designing for low noise/noise immunity/low interference
  • · Digital electronics design – MCUs, FPGAs, DSPs, etc.
  • · Digital interface and communication
  • · High temperature (up to 175C) circuit design
  • · Basic thermal management techniques and considerations
  • · Practical electronic lab testing – familiar with standard electrical test equipment and methods
  • · SLB V&V/EQ experience
  • · Familiarity with SLB electrical design tools such as Cadence
  • · Familiarity with SLB electronics design practices
  • · Power supply design experience preferred
  • · Motor control design experience preferred
  • · Matlab/Simulink experience preferred

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or eq. number of years of experience in 8yrs.
  • or MS in Electrical Engineering or eq. number of years of experience in 5yrs.
  • extensive PWA design experience (analog and power electronics)
  • completed multiple PWAs from concept to commercialization.
  • completed CLMS tool development process
